REGULAR DENTAL CLEANINGS

One of the most important things you can do to make your smile fantastic at the end of treatment is to maintain a rigorous oral hygiene schedule. Along with great homecare, your cleaning appointments with your general or pediatric dentist are very important. As a service to our patients, we want to have your wires removed for those periodic dental cleanings. In order to accomplish this we need to coordinate two appointments in our office with your cleaning appointment. We ask that you call us as soon as you schedule a cleaning appointment with your dentist. When enough notice is given, these appointments should not be difficult.

It will be very important that you keep these two appointments. If something happens and they need to be changed last minute, we may not be able to take your wires out. In most cases, a great cleaning can be accomplished with the orthodontic wires in place, but it is definitely easier on the hygienist or assistant if the wires have been removed.

Please keep us informed of any upcoming cleaning appointments, and contact us immediately after you schedule your or your child's cleaning appointment.
